How ICT can support Creativity in EYFS

For all practitioners working with children aged 0 - 5
Outcomes:
By attending this course, participants will:
- gain an awareness of how to use ICT to
support creative development in the EYFS
- explore ways of expressing and recording
children’s thoughts, ideas and feelings by
using a variety of ICT tools
- explore colour, shape, form and space using
software, websites and programmable toys
- explore technology for recording and
changing sounds, recognising repeated
sounds and sound patterns.
Course participants will:
- explore how ICT can support the ‘Creative
Development’ area of learning
- use cameras, video recorders and sound
recorders and consider ways of presenting
the resources and using them with the
children to record and assess their learning
- investigate simple software/websites for
music and art
- look at remote control and programmable
toys to use for storytelling
- exploit ICT in the role play area to support
imaginative play.
There will be a chance to try out some useful
resources and to discuss realistic ways of
implementing ICT into your early years setting.
