Music Business Project 2 DAYS
The Music Industry is much more complex than most students realise! In these 2 days you will work with music professionals to put together a CD including aspects of design and writing original soundtracks. You will work with industry standard recording and design software.
Years 9-11 MAX 16 Students

1/2 day at your school or whole day at the CLC. The Internet is much more complex than most students realise. On this day we will challenge pupils’ understanding of the validity of sources. We will develop critical thinking skills and use concept maps to extend understanding. Students will create a podcast to reflect on their learning if done at the CLC Years 9 – 11, 1/2 day at your school or whole day at the CLC. Whole Class possible.

Adobe Design (Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design)
1 Day. This day is aimed at developing students’ skills using one of the Adobe suite of software. Especially useful to produce coursework in D and T, Media Studies, English, Art and Photography at KS4/KS5.

Researching University courses (1 school period)
From a university prospectus in print to the same on the internet. This one lesson is aimed at equipping Year 9, 10 or 11 students to research University courses and find out what is available. They will also be introduced to the idea of a conditional offer, sometimes with subjects specified, both grades and the UCAS tariff. KS3 - Whole Class.

Year 12/13 Curriculum Support
Short sessions to give specific skills needed for coursework: Sixth form curriculum support sessions for Science, Social Sciences, Maths & Geography. One hour sessions to be offered after school to support ICT-based coursework requirements for their subjects. These sessions will offer support in these requirements to AS and A2 students. Drop in basis.
